The Libcast EDU extension adds to your Libcast account :
- the possibility to create one or several blogs with a proper access for each one (i.e. : one blog per course or class / group of students)
- the multimedia comments on all or part of your publications (you define the settings for each blog) enabling your students to post their work or develop their oral communication skills).
Add, modify a blog
The extension provides the possibility to open a blog per course, or class, or group of students etc.
You can open as many channels as necessary thanks to the function "creation and management of channels". Then, you can determine the access rights to your students. With this extension, your video content is not publicly published on Internet, and you can control which students can see the published content. You can find below an approach of the comments : with an individual access for your students, they will be automatically identified. Every work sent or post written by this student will be assigned to him, avoiding anonymous or abusive messages.

Delete a blog
To delete a blog, go to Publications, then click on the no entry icon next to the channel name you want to delete.
Important : If you delete a channel, the publications on this channel, the students accesses and the comments will also be deleted! However, the content linked to your publications are still available in your briefcase.
Manage the access to your blog(s)
You can protect the access to your blogs by creating users accesses.
To do so, two steps have to be completed :
- Create users and define the individual login and password to open a blog,
- Associate access rights between a user and the blog.
The creation of accesses can be done via the editing page of the blog : in Publications, click on the pen icon on the right of the blog (which is also a channel) name: then click on "Manage accesses". Click on "Add access", select the users and the role assigned to them. Save to create the access.
Good to know
To avoid creating individual accesses for your class, you can use the users groups (click here to learn more about them). They permit to associate an access right to different users at once.
Manage the comments
Students can drop their content under your publications if you have enabled this setting when publishing your content.
A window appears. The student can write a message, record with its webcam or micro or upload a work available on the Hard Drive or a USB.
They are automatically identified as they need access codes to access the blog.
As soon as they have left a comment, you receive a notification in the Console. All the comments need to be approved before being published : you can decide whether you want them to be published or not. The other students can see the answer of their classmate only if you allow the publication of the comment, work etc.
